Catching Up...

"So... You made it through the battle, did you? What are you here for?" Raditz smirked as he looked her over, "from what you're wearing, I'm guessing whor-" Verasha punched him square in the face then laughed as he stumbled back.

"At least I'm not Freeza's little bitch. Ah, brother, I've heard such WONDERFUL things about you." Verasha stuck out her tongue as she passed by him, smacking his arm with her tail. "You're such a wimp..." A low growl passed Raditz's lips before he lunged at his half sister. Verasha neatly slid to the side and kicked out, throwing him against the wall. "You never were a match for me, big brother."

Once she was out of sight her tail fluffed as she thought of different ways to hurt Raditz. Her thoughts almost made her miss the room she had been looking for, had it not been the only door with a large dent in it. Verasha smirked as she thought, "yep, this is definitely Vegeta's room." She flicked the button that would announce a visitor. After a few seconds she pressed it twice, making the chimes even louder.

"Alright, alright! I'm coming," was all that could be heard from inside the room before she heard him kicking something metallic. Verasha smiled and shook her head. He hadn't changed at all.

"What?!" Vegeta appearance hadn't changed either, barring the new scars that now crossed over his chest. They stood staring at each other for a bit, both not able to break the silence that prevailed. "Verasha?" Vegeta said quietly.

She nodded and smiled at his surprise. "They didn't tell you I was coming, did they?"

Vegeta shook his head. "No. Just that I was supposed to get some sort of reward." He snorted as a smirk drew across his lips. "The women here are really boring."

Verasha shot him the dirtiest look she could manage as her tail twitched in annoyance. "You're such a... Such a... Damn you!" She sighed as he laughed at her, obviously succeeding in flustering her.

Vegeta reached out and lifted her chin with one finger. "I still know how to piss you off." They stared at each other, both noticing the slight changes in each other. Verasha glanced back and saw her brother, to her surprise, staring at them. She frowned and pushed Vegeta back through the door then shut it behind her.

Vegeta chuckled, as he looked her over. "You and that damn music-" He blinked as she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him squarely on the lips. He clung to her, his tail wrapping firmly around her thigh. Her own tail twitched with the happiness she felt, then languidly wrapped around his waist.

"Miss me?" The look he gave her answered her question in ways words couldn't. Vegeta lifted one hand to caress her cheek with the back of it.

"Some one managed to get me your message... But I didn't know whether or not to trust it. You ARE alright, aren't you?" When Verasha nodded he went on, his eyes clouding over. "My father's still alive, or so Freeza keeps telling me. Do you know how many others are still alive?"

Verasha shuddered. "I know the ones that didn't make it... They still haunt my dreams. Mikla didn't make it... He died in my arms. My father-" Verasha stopped and cleared her throat as a lump rose up at the mention of her father. "My father... He died. He dove in front of Freeza's blast to save me." Vegeta gave her a slight shake, then hugged her again.

"I saw Hitomi and Horona the other day. They finally made it as fighters, or so the told me." At Verasha's sigh, Vegeta smiled. "I thought you might want to know that. Jenla is still on our home world." He snorted and rolled his eyes. "Cazla's probably there too. Or on an away team to another world that Freeza wants to conquer. Although if she ever met Freeza, I think she might be stupid enough to fight him- HEY! What's wrong?" He glared at her after she pushed him roughly away.

She gave him the coldest look she had ever given him. "Cazla DIED to protect your father. He was down and couldn't fight any more, and SHE took Freeza's blast. So I guess you're right, she would be stupid enough to go against him..." She smiled at the look of shock in his eyes. "I know... I would have thought the same thing, so don't worry about it. I just wish I could have gotten there in time..."

"I don't, you wouldn't be here if you did. You're far stronger then she ever was, you have the best chance fighting against Freeza's generals..." Vegeta smiled as he leaned forward. His arms drew her back against him as he laid his forehead against hers. "And plus, I'd miss you if you weren't here."

Verasha blushed a bit before she smiled at him, knowing that it was rare for him to express his feelings openly since he thought that they were a show of weakness. "I've missed you..." she trailed off as Vegeta's finger lightly touched her lips.

A shiver ran down her back as he lightly kissed her ear before whispering, "then show me how much you've missed me..."

I know these are really short, and I'm sorry. I just like where they leave off. ^.^  The next chapters are coming soon...
